Overview
SS&C Tier1’s cloud-based technology addresses the increasing demand for digital innovation tools and relationship management capabilities to drive revenue-generating activities across the capital markets. Its capital-markets-specific workflows are designed to enable users to increase productivity by remaining connected to clients, institutional data, deals and interactions, even while working remotely.
Key project
Tier1 introduced a pre-packaged delivery model for its global software solution that reduces time-to-market to weeks instead of months. The model addresses the challenges of an evolving workplace by providing anytime, anywhere access to secure, mobile and real-time client intelligence. In August 2022, Tier1 was acquired by SS&C Technologies, allowing the firm to scale and grow its business.

What problem does it solve?
During the development of its new product delivery model, Tier1 implemented client focus groups to enable collaboration between its clients and introduce richer input for key product concepts. Part of this process involved bringing together Tier1’s product and partner teams to make a more effective workforce. As a result, Tier1 was able to more easily identify its target audience’s needs and introduce a model that enables clients to take advantage of the different aspects of Tier1’s software suite.
Tech project
As the data available to financial firms continues to grow, Tier1 is developing an analytical CRM solution to help businesses make informed decisions when it comes to client relationships. Tier1’s analytics capabilities allow organizations to identify anomalous behavior, changes in engagement, and growth opportunities; and mitigate risk by using data and technology to ultimately manage the client lifecycle more effectively.

SS&C Tier1 wins the best third-party technology vendor IT team category in this year’s AFTAs thanks to its work in developing a new “pre-packaged” delivery model for its global CRM platform that reduces time-to-market for new installations to weeks instead of months. The model provides users with anytime, anywhere access to secure, mobile and real-time client intelligence, allowing them to maintain their effectiveness regardless of their location.
