Andrew Shortland To Steer International Expansion at Trade Informatics
The vendor's first local office outside the US is London, with plans for regional presences elsewhere in Europe and Asia.
Former Jefferies executive Andrew Shortland has joined trading analytics and alpha optimization tools provider Trade Informatics as CEO of its business in EMEA, responsible for growing the New York-based vendor’s international client base and building a support team for non-US clients.
The company has seen significant growth outside of North America over the last two years, and recently opened its first non-US office in London and hired a London-based analyst, working alongside Shortland, who will be responsible for building a larger team of local analysts and expanding the range of services that Trade Informatics can offer to clients in the region. Beyond London, the vendor is looking to take a similar approach in continental Europe and in Asia and Australia as its client base grows in the region.
Shortland brings close to three decades of experience in investment banking. Most recently, he ran his own consulting firm, Andrew Shortland Associates, prior to which he was head of international equities at Jefferies & Co., where he spent nine years. Prior to that, he headed international equity trading at Bear Stearns, where he spent 16 years between 1992 and 2008. Before Bear Stearns he worked as an international equities proprietary trader at Morgan Stanley.
He reports to Trade Informatics CEO Matt Celebuski.
