Correction: Reuters Holdings PLC says it has installed 3,000 Dealing 2000-1 terminals and has further 1,000 on order. Dec. 10 IMD misstated number of terminals on order.

Clarification: "Midwest Stock Exchange was not part of any consortium competing for Euroquote S.A. and has not been allied with General Electric Information Services Co. for any project," according to MSE president Charles Doherty. Dec. 24 IMD stated MSE was rumored to be in consortium for Euroquote deal headed by GE.

Business As Usual Dept.: Disseminators of U.S. securities data said they had no contingency plans for distribution of market information during Middle East hostilities. Officials at Securities Industry Automation Corp., National Association of Securities Dealers and Options Price Reporting Authority said they had taken no precautions against possible surging volumes or other disruptive consequences of war, barring increased security measures at respective facilities. Volume on New York Stock Exchange hit 318 million shares Thursday.

Andre Villeneuve, executive vice president of Reuters Holdings PLC's American operation, will take on additional responsibility for Reuters Asia, formerly terrain of Reuters CEO-elect Peter Job, sources close to the company say. Villeneuve will run both operations from London, sources say. Reuters spokesman declines to comment.

Meanwhile, Masana Seki, has joined C.ATS Software Inc. as managing director of California-based trading room applications firm's Tokyo office. Seki was previously manager of Reuters' historical information services for North East Asia.

Gary Knight has resigned as president of Pont Data Inc. to take on post of chief executive at Hong Kong Futures Exchange, succeeding Douglas Ford. Sources say Pont executive vice president Lars Ljungwaldh is reorganizing Australia- based vendor's U.S. operation and preparing to move offices from Chicago to New Jersey.

Ted Marks, former vice president, market information, at Knight-Ridder Inc., has left company to set up consultancy -- Marks & Frederick Associates Inc. -- for news and information industry.

Euroquote S.A. named Henning Tonsmann chief executive. Tonsmann currently is senior vice president and head of futures and options at Deutsche Bank. Tonsmann will be charged with hiring management team for Euroquote and with reaching accord with successful bidder in project to set up pan-European quotes and trading network. GE and Citicorp's Quotron Systems Inc. remain in contention for contract, though sources say both will play role (IMD, Dec. 24).

EJV Partners L.P. appointed George Reis to "senior financial and administration position" at firm. Reis was previously with County NatWest Inc., investment banking subsidiary of U.K.-based National Westminster Bank PLC, where he held similar position in fixed-income area.

Dow Jones & Co. has yet to decide on effective date of relocation of Capital Markets Report to Telerate Systems Inc.'s Harborside facility, sources say. These sources add that move won't be completed before end of first quarter.

Hearing in New York State Supreme Court of Telerate Systems Inc.'s dispute with Noonan, Astley & Pearce Inc. has again been put back, this time to Feb. 1. Hearing was scheduled for Jan. 11.
