Dow Jones Bows Factiva App, Licensed Content

In addition to a new mobile app for Factiva on iPhone devices, Dow Jones is licensing curated news to third-party websites.

In addition, the news provider has unveiled a new service, dubbed Dow Jones Direct, which provides licensed content from Factiva and other sources for clients to display on public websites and to distribute via email, RSS feeds and social media to increase audience engagement.

William Ashworth, general manager of Dow Jones' Professional Information business, says the enhancements "combine Factiva's depth of content with simple, modern platforms and the ability to curate content for external audiences."

Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
