By using the co-location service and installing hardware and software directly next to the UTP matching engine, exchange members, data vendors and other exchange clients can ensure the lowest-latency communication of not more than 500 microseconds to UTP.

The Warsaw Stock Exchange launched the co-location service two years ago, and has since extended its scope to include additional services, such as "remote hands" support and greater power availability, making the service more attractive to algorithmic traders.

"We attach great importance to the needs and expectations of our partners and clients. We pay particular attention to broadening the access to [our] markets, which contributes to improved liquidity of financial instruments. We are happy to have Erste Securities Polska as the first entity to offer the solution to investors," says Grzegorz Zawada, vice president of the exchange's management board, in a statement.
