Fitch Nabs Thomson Reuters' Tinaikar as President, Info Services

Tinaikar has spent a 25-year career in information and technology services, most recently as a managing director at Thomson Reuters.

Tinaikar was most recently managing director and global head of asset management, wealth management, investment banking and research at Thomson Reuters.

Before joining Thomson Reuters in 2012, he was a partner at McKinsey & Co, where he managed business lines in North America and Asia, including leading the firm's Asia financial services practice. Prior to that, he was an assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, teaching information systems, having begun his career at Citigroup's IT division in Mumbai.

Based in New York, Tinaikar reports to Fitch Group president and chief executive Paul Taylor.

"Information services is an important part of our plans to grow and diversify Fitch Group, and Ranjit's extensive experience will be a great asset to Fitch," Taylor says in a statement.
