Data management solutions provider GoldenSource has announced it is continuing its expansion with the opening of an office in Paris.

The provider says the new office, which opens officially on July 20, will be headed by senior sales manager for Italy, Spain and France, Eric Bassot, who was formerly based at the company's office in Milan. GoldenSource already has an office in London.

Bassot tells Inside Reference Data: "Opening a new European office is a by-product of the growth we have been experiencing in recent times. Paris, alongside London, is one of Europe's key financial centers, and having an additional on-the-ground presence in the region is key for future success."

Bassot says the move puts GoldenSource in a good position following the UK's decision to leave the European Union.

"The Paris office opening was always going to take place regardless of the UK referendum result. We have EU and non-EU clients in the region and we're now even better placed to support them in the coming months as the UK's new economic relationship with Europe starts to take shape."
