McGraw-Hill Inc.'s Standard and Poor's equity information services group vice president Robert Christie is changing jobs. Christie has been appointed president of McGraw-Hill's college division, which sells educational materials. Christie has worked at McGraw-Hill since 1978, and in that time has held a number of positions, starting with regional sales manager for the American Industrial Report. McGraw-Hill has not yet named a replacement for Christie at S&P's equity information services group, he says.
Telekurs (North America) has hired Maryann Houglet as head of marketing. It is, she says, a new position. Houglet reports to Ken Marlin, Telekurs' president. Most recently, Houglet ran her own consulting firm, and counted Telekurs as a client. Prior to that, Houglet was vice president of corporate development and marketing at Interactive Data Corp.
From the classifieds: Reuters is looking for fixed- income data professionals to fill full-time temporary positions in Stamford, Conn. "The individuals selected will research, analyze and verify trading prices and descriptive information for fixed-income instruments. The ability to read prospectus is a plus." Dow Jones Telerate seeks a training manager to help expound "software development methodologies." The choice applicant will have a background in software engineering, systems life cycle management, quality assurance, process improvement and technical training. DJ/T is also looking for an emerging markets marketing manager....
And more: ILX Systems is looking for systems support professionals for a number of positions. The vendor is wanting for staffers in Unix support, PC/LAN support, market data support and wide area network support.... And finally, MMS International is recruiting a senior sales executive to handle key New York accounts as part of the vendor's expansion plans. The right candidate has several years experience in selling online financial information to traders and portfolio managers.
