CrossMar Inc.'s loss is Garvin Information Services' gain. CrossMar business manager for information service Ann Gable is leaving for GIS, where she will assume the title of president. Gable replaces Tim Anderson, who left earlier this month (IMD, Oct. 11). GIS gathers, packages and sells data generated by brokers owned by MAI PLC, which include money market broker Garvin Guy Butler, U.S. Treasury broker Garban Ltd. and FX broker Butler Harlowe. CrossMar consolidates data from a number of banks -- including its sister Citibank -- and also redistributes data from, interestingly enough, Garban. As to with whom -- or whether -- CrossMar will fill the post Gable is vacating, CrossMar president Sam Borenstein says: "It's planning time at the bank, so we're reviewing our options." As IMD went to press, John Jessop was poised to assume oversight of a new unit that will market CrossMar products (see Scrolling News).
