PaineWebber Inc.'s senior vice president for systems development Gerry Higgins left the firm last week, for a job as managing director in Nynex Corp. There's precious little market data at Higgins' new post: he'll be running the telecommunications services vendors' data center and network resources division. At Nynex, Higgins joins Joe Castellano, who left a post at Citicorp last year. Castellano's role at Citi was similar to Higgins' at PaineWebber. Taking Higgins' place at PaineWebber is Robyn Turk, senior vice president for systems development. Senior vice president and director of retail technology Jerry Goldberg will assume responsibility for managing the rollout of the firm's new broker market data platform. With Higgins' departure, Quotron also loses the president of its QuotUs user group, a post Higgins occupied.
First Boston Corp.'s senior communications analyst Dan Martone has left for National Westminster Bank. Martone had assumed much of the firm's market data duties following the departure last year of First Boston's data chief Bill Rothfarb.
Turning over another new one: Roger Leaf has left First Boston Corp. Leaf was vice president, fixed-income administration, but was most familiar to IMD readers in his role as First Boston's liaison to the EJV Partners L.P. The firm declined to meet the EJV's last capital call.
Reuters' vice president of human resources, Tim Kidman, is out. Kidman was once a direct report of Reuters America president Brian Vaughan. But in line with Reuters' Vision, many employee- related issues have been shifted into the bailiwick of the vice president for organizational development, Celia Berk, to whom Kidman has reported since last fall (IMD, Nov. 23, 1992).
Bridge Information Systems Inc. has created a new job, senior vice president for operations, and given it to JB Cohn. Cohn comes from Citicorp's mortgage group, where he was a senior vice president of technology services.
