Knight-Ridder Financial Americas named Dale Constantino to fill the position of central region sales manager. He'll be based in Chicago and will report to managing director Pat O'Grady. He was previously midwest district sales manager for financial publishing company John H. Harland Co. Before that he worked with brokerage and asset management companies, as well as with MCI Telecommunications. Constantino's hiring follows the appointment of ex-Xerox exec Gregory Harold as the vendor's vice president of sales (IMD, Nov. 7).

Gerd Muller, the editor-in-chief of VWD-Vereinigte Wirtschaftsdienste GMbH has left his post "by mutual agreement," according to an announcement issued late last week by the German news agency. The new editor-in-chief is Holger Quiring. Quiring has been a correspondent with VWD in Brussels since 1986 and bureau chief there since 1992. Meanwhile, Rainer Hellmann has taken over as the vendor's Brussels bureau chief. According the announcement, top editor Muller left (after having spent 25 years at VWD) because "divergencies had arisen concerning the future strategy of the agency."
