Former EJV sales and marketing chief Gerry Mintz will pop up fully employed within weeks, say sources in the know. But none seems to know quite where.
Marty Packer, who headed research and development at Liberty Brokerage Inc., left ten days ago after more than eight years with the interdealer Treasury broker. Packer is moving to the country and will consult to, among others, Liberty. To assume Packer's responsibilities on a full-time basis, Liberty has wooed Citibank vice president Larry Reznick from Citi's ATM development group.
Though First Boston Corp. hired Michael Kaplan from Merrill Lynch & Co. to replace former market data guru Bill Rothfarb, sources say not all went quite as planned. During the search for a Rothfarb-successor, these sources add that market data operations manager Dan Martone has wrested some of Rothfarb's duties from Kaplan, leaving the newcomer with a leaner job description.
ADP has named George Hegarty to assume the tasks of recently-departed former ADP veep Tom Hughes, who left for a senior management post at FD Consulting Inc. (IMD, March 15). ADP lifted Hegarty two months ago from Track Data Corp.
Sources say Jim Steinke, the former president of Quotron's Securities Industry Software Corp. (SIS), is in line to be the next president of SunGard Financial Phase 3 back-office unit.
McGraw-Hill Inc. spokesperson Elizabeth Russo has departed for electronic publisher Mead Corp., where she will also act as spokesperson. McGraw-Hill was already seeking a new director of communications for its Standard & Poors unit (IMD, March 29).
McGraw-Hill's MMS International has a new manager for its North American currency analysis product. Replacing the recently departed Michael Faust, Lisa Pazer adds the duty to her current role as global money market/FX strategist.
