Tom Kyle has left Hyperion Capital Management Inc. where he has served as operations manager since last year. Previously an operations executive at First Boston Asset Management (now known as First Boston Investment Management Corp.), Kyle oversaw the installation of Princeton Financial Systems Inc.'s Pam system at both firms. Kyle could not be reached for comment at press time.
Also on a departing flight is Denise Hayman-Loa, senior vice president of product development at Princeton Financial. Sources say Loa, who has been at Princeton since last July, is headed for Ernst & Young.
ITS Associates Inc. has opened a New York office at 575 Madison Ave. which will serve as a marketing base for the vendor's Global PMIS system. The vendor's head office is in Wellesley, Mass.
PaineWebber Group's Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management has named Frank Minard chairman and chief executive officer. Minard was previously executive vice president at Mitchell Hutchins.
Tantalizing Tidbits Dept.: Sources say that officials at Intervest Financial Services Inc.'s Crosscom fixed-income trading network have expressed interest in holding discussions with Bridge Information Systems Inc. regarding a possible alliance. And, by the way, what's the deal with Automatic Data Processing Inc. and Investment Software Systems Inc.? Is there another news-filtering system in ADP's future?
Information Systems of America says that five firms are currently implementing its Prism portfolio accounting and management system. The vendor was recently acquired by SunGard Data Systems Inc. (IMT, June 11).
Shark Information Services Corp. has added a voice recognition interface that allows users to make spoken requests for SharkPlus delivered data. It was designed by UmeCorp.
Corrections: Trepp & Co. is wholly owned by Richard Trepp, and as such was the sole vendor involved in the recently announced marketing agreement with Micro Insurance Software Inc. (MIS) (IMT, July 23). In the deal, MIS obtained the right to market Trepp's Maximi, a PC-based analytics system for asset- and mortgage-backed securities. Also: Princeton Financial Systems director of marketing Gordon Gacek called to say that Princeton's Pam portfolio management system does indeed process complex derivative products such as interest only (I/O) and principal only (P/O) securities (IMT, July 9).
Thomson Financial Services Inc. has announced that its TFS Europe division will be headed up by a newly appointed managing director, Michael O'Hanlon. Prior to his appointment at Thomson, O'Hanlon was the general manager of GE Information Services' (GEIS) Financial Information Services division in Europe. In his new position, O'Hanlon will oversee the marketing and operations of all Thomson's European units, including Alert, Oasys Global, First Call, Investext, Portia and Securities Data Co.
