Metamako, MayStreet Ally for High-Precision Analytics
Firms can now run MayStreet’s data analytics software on Metamako’s MetaWatch data capture and network monitoring software tool.
Metamako’s “ecosystem” is a way for the vendor to extend the range of apps and analytics that can be built on top of its products. “There are many other applications and parts of the stack that are required to either go through a network device or be part of a network device like ours. The idea behind the ecosystem is that we can start to introduce interesting pieces of technology that other vendors have built and have them run on or alongside our devices,” says Ciaran Kennedy, chief sales officer at Metamako.
MayStreet’s solution allows clients to convert data from high-precision formats to those used for research and compliance. It can now be run on Metamako’s network devices. For example, Metamako’s Metawatch product “allows vendors to provide high-resolution timestamp aggregation and buffering directly on our device,” Kennedy says. “Clients wanted to take that functionality and either get or provide more analytics around it, or feed it into other systems…. MayStreet is able to take the data and accurate timestamps that we provide and take that to a deeper level of analytics.”
“Our clients have vast quantities of data flowing across their networks. There generally hasn’t been an easy, cost-effective way to collect all the traffic on the network and generate the business-specific data sets,” says MayStreet chief executive Patrick Flannery in a statement. “Working with Metamako changes that: we can quickly and easily collect extremely high-quality ‘raw’ capital markets data and transform it into specific use cases. For example, we can capture market data and order entry data in a unified stream, across all cross-connects and generate SEC and CFTC audit trail reports,” he adds.
