Nasdaq Enhances News Service
Nasdaq OMX has renamed its PrimeNewswire news distribution service GlobeNewswire, and made a series of enhancements, including multi-channel delivery that provides simultaneous distribution of news both domestically and worldwide in local languages. Other enhancements include specialized news distribution to targeted audiences, and the option of multimedia distribution.
SEC Unveils its Big IDEA
The SEC last week announced a new filings system dubbed IDEA (Interactive Data Electronic Applications) to replace its Edgar database of fund and company filings. IDEA, which supports filings with interactive tags that make it easier to extract specific data for analysis, will enable users to instantly collate documents from multiple companies, whereas the current database requires users to sift through one document at a time, and will enable new Web-based services for investors.
Corvil Upgrades Latency Tech
Dublin-based technology provider Corvil has released version 5.0 of its CorvilNet latency management system for trading networks, featuring Service Channels for segmented latency analytics, and for monitoring microsecond-level application performance to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements. Version 5.0 also addresses performance monitoring across all flows, channels, classes and links; troubleshooting features that respond to programmable triggers; and network optimization capabilities that determine actions required for SLA compliance.
Neonet Debuts Single View
Swedish broker Neonet has launched a Consolidated European Order Book Offering that displays data from European markets, to provide a single view of trading across Europe. The order book, integrated with Neonet's smart order-routing, can be customized according to how users want to view the data.
