Nasdaq Strategy Exec Louis Joins Hanweck Board

Louis replaces Salil Donde as Nasdaq's representative on Hanweck's board, after Donde left the exchange.

At Nasdaq, Louis oversees the strategic and financial analysis and execution of all corporate and business unit investments.

Officials say Hanweck will benefit from Louis’ “deep knowledge and expertise in corporate structure and finance,” as it continues its growth trajectory. Before joining Nasdaq in 2004, Louis was a mergers and acquisitions banker in UBS Investment Bank’s Financial Institutions Group, prior to which he also served as a senior broker at interdealer broker Viel Tradition, where he led the growth of the firm’s short-term interest rate derivatives desk.

Nasdaq is an investor in Hanweck, following its acquisition of the International Securities Exchange, which owned a stake in Hanweck. Louis takes over the seat from Salil Donde, former executive vice president of Global Information Services at Nasdaq, who joined the board following Nasdaq’s acquisition of ISE, but who left the exchange last year.
