New Software For Techies To Be Seen At Futures/Options Expo In Chicago
THIS MONTH'S LEAD STORIES
The technical analysis brigade will descend on Chicago October 14-16 for the annual Futures Industry Association Futures and Options Expo. Among the new products and services to be seen:
-- Bonneville Telecommunications Co. will show "Optionomics," a new options analytical tool, and "Market Center Analyst," an in-home product with charting/graphics plus quotes on stocks, options, and futures.
-- Commodity Communications Corp. will show a new options strategy package called "Options Source," plus a new release of "Futuresource Technical," and a scaled-down version of the latter.
-- Marketview Software, Inc. will show its interface with Wang Shark, with both applications operating simultaneously on the same PC, with toggling from one to the other.
-- Roberts-Slade, Inc. will show its "Master Chartist" technical analysis package on the Macintosh II and IBM AT. The IBM version allows up to six charts on one screen, while the Mac II supports up to six screens.
-- Wang Financial Information Services, Inc. will show "Sharkview," the Marketview software package using Shark's data feed, and "Shark OTC," featuring NASDAQ Level 2 (NQDS) data and features aimed at OTC market makers.
-- Westport Research Inc. will show "IQ Master" IBM-PC software featuring quotes, news, and charting using CNS or Bonneville data, plus "Intelliboard" card, which monitors data feed in background, allowing PC to be used for other tasks.
