People Moves: Archax, Broadridge, FCA, Qontigo, and TruNarrative
A look at some of the key "people moves" from the past week.
TruNarrative Appoints US General Manager
Michael Roche (pictured above) will join regtech company TruNarrative. Roche will join the US Atlanta office as demand for the company’s services moves from regulated to non-regulated sectors.
Roche’s role will entail working across international operations, leading experienced teams, and helping to guide TruNarrative’s no-code platform.
In his latest role, Roche was vice president of global fraud product at payment processor Elavon Inc. Prior to that, he worked at Visa digital authentication company, CardinalCommerce, for 13 years.
New Digital Securities Exchange Archax Appoints ex-FCA Official as Chief Compliance Officer
Archax, the new institutional digital securities exchange, has announced that Alex Royle will join the company as their new chief compliance officer. The exchange is based in London and plans to launch in mid-2020.
Royle has extensive experience in compliance and regulation, having joined from the Financial Conduct Authority, where he worked in the MTF/OTF trading venue supervision. Before that, he served as a second national expert in markets policy at the European Securities & Markets Authority.
Broadridge Appoints New President
Broadridge Financial Solutions has announced Chris Perry as their new president. Perry will assume his position on March 2 from chief executive officer, Tim Gokey, who will remain CEO and a director of the company.
Having been at the company for five years, Perry will now take on more responsibility as president and take a stronger leadership role to co-ordinate Broadridge’s overall growth strategy.
Before joining Broadridge in 2014, Perry spent over six years at Thomson Reuters, holding various roles, including global managing director, risk segment, financial and risk division and president of global sales. He gained his MBA in Marketing from Lewis Univeristy.
Two Non-Executive Directors Join FCA Board
Jeannette Lichner and Bernadette Conroy will both serve three-year terms as the new non-executive directors of the FCA board. Lichner is due to start her term on April 1, and Conroy on August 1.
They will replace Amelia Fletcher, OBE, and Catherine Bradley, CBE. who have both served their terms.
Lichner studied board governance at Harvard University and Conroy has a degree in Maths from the University of Cambridge. Both women have experience in leadership roles and as non-executive directors.
Appointments made by HM Treasury are judged on merit and not political activity, and neither Conroy nor Lichner have not engaged in any political activity in the last five years.
Qontigo Names New Chief Revenue Officer
Brian Rosenberg will join financial intelligence provider Qontigo in the newly-created role of chief revenue officer. Rosenberg will lead global teams of sales, marketing, applied-research and customer experience, and will report to chief executive officer, Sebastian Ceria.
Prior to this role, Rosenberg was a managing director at FTSE Russell for five years. In the role, Rosenberg oversaw a variety of sales including: America’s index sales, global strategic accounts, exchange-traded products and derivatives. He also spent seven years as the head of asset management sales at RiskMetrics group.
