BNP Paribas Appoints Sarah Wang Head of Structuring Americas
BNP Paribas has appointed Sarah Wang as head of structuring Americas.
In this role she will become the solutions leader for the Americas, heading the structuring teams across business lines.
Previously Wang worked at Barclays for 16 years, most recently as head of securitized product solutions structuring in the US. Prior to that she was head of structuring in APAC and held various structuring roles in cross-asset, emerging markets and credit both in Asia and the US. She has also worked in structuring at Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers.
CIA Omnigage Names Dan Duran Co-CEO
New Jersey-based telecomms company CIA Omnigage has announced the appointment of Dan Duran as its new co-CEO, effective Sept. 1.
Among objectives in his new role are pursuing strategic partnerships with other firms and a rebranding project, as the company begins to shift, in part, away from telecommunications and toward becoming a multi-channel communications platform.
Duran was previously vice president of sales and business development at Tier1 Financial Solutions.
He began his career as a trader at Schwab Capital Markets. As a sales executive at Dealogic, he managed accounts for banks such Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank. He has also worked as a business development manager at Dow Jones.
Capco Taps R3’s Rutter for Sales
Financial markets consultancy Capco has hired Matthew Rutter as director of sales and business development, responsible for working with the company’s US partner team to drive new business engagements.
Rutter was previously a senior business development executive at software vendor R3, prior to which he was a vice president at BlackRock for the asset manager’s Aladdin platform. Before that, he was an enterprise sales specialist at Thomson Reuters.
Rutter reports to Kapin Vora, partner responsible for the New York metropolitan area at Capco.
IHS Markit Adds Huey Evans to Board of Directors
IHS Markit has appointed Gay Huey Evans as an independent director to its board. She also joins the company’s audit committee.
Huey Evans is chairman of the board of directors of the London Metal Exchange and a member of the UK Treasury board. She is also a non-executive director of Standard Chartered and ConocoPhillips.
Previously she held senior roles at Citi Alternative Investments and Tribeca Global Management in Europe, both part of Citigroup. She has also worked at Barclays Capital, the UK Financial Services Authority, and Bankers Trust Company. She previously served on the boards of Aviva, the London Stock Exchange Group, Itau BBA, and Falcon Private Wealth.
Former Morningstar Exec Lyons Joins EOSE
EOSE Data, a consultancy that advises firms on how to commercialize their data assets and provides sales agency services, has hired Myra Lyons as a consultant to help the firm grow its business.
Lyons previously ran her own advisory business, MP Lyons Consultancy, prior to which she was business development manager at Web Financial Group. Previously, she was business development manager for the UK and Benelux at Morningstar, and spent almost nine years as senior client relationship manager at Digital Look. Before that, she was head of account management at RAW Communication, and product marketing manager at Reuters.
In her new role, Lyons reports to EOSE CEO Suzanne Lock.
