BNY Mellon Taps Fangfang Chen for Senior Role
BNY Mellon has appointed Fangfang Chen as Asia Pacific chair and Asia Pacific head of asset servicing and digital, with effect from January 4.
Chen will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the company’s strategic growth agenda in the region. She will also provide oversight of its regional structure, including regulatory and legal compliance. She will be based in Hong Kong and report to Hani Kablawi, chairman of international, and to James Slater, head of asset servicing client coverage and front office solutions.
Chen has held numerous leadership roles in the US, China and in Hong Kong, including 12 years at State Street. She joins from Algorand Foundation, a financial technology start-up involved in the development of an enterprise-scale public blockchain technology.
Jenny Chen joins as Americas Head of Sales at bigxyt
Bigxyt has announced the appointment of Jenny Chen as as managing director, head of sales in the Americas
Chen will be responsible for accelerating growth in the US and supporting clients in leveraging big xyt solutions to transform their trading performance and analysis.
Based in New York, Chen joins big xyt from Société Générale, where she spent eight years as MD, head of global execution services, overseeing program trading, electronic trading, cash equities, ETF, and futures. Prior to Société Générale she spent seven years at Goldman Sachs and before that UBS.
Temenos Hires Phillip Finnegan as Managing Director for Pacific Region
Temenos has appointed Phillip Finnegan as managing director for the Pacific region. Finnegan will be responsible for customer engagement and regional strategy in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
SEC Announces New Asset Management Advisory Committee Member
The Securities and Exchange Commission announced the appointment of Renee LaRoche-Morris as a new member for its asset management advisory committee,
LaRoche-Morris, who is chief operating officer at BNY Mellon Investment Management, was appointed following the resignation of Mark Tibergien, who retired from BNY Mellon/Pershing.
Gresham Technologies Appoints Joel Jerome As Director of Sales
Gresham Technologies has appointed Joel Jerome as director of sales for Asia Pacific.
Jerome joins Gresham with 18 years of experience in treasury and capital markets digital transformation projects at firms such as Finastra, OpenLink and ITC Infotech.
First Derivatives Hires Ralph Debbas for Senior Role
First Derivatives has appointed Ralph Debbas as managing director of its consulting and managed services business in North America.
His remit is to further develop the firm’s proposition of deep domain experience and technical knowledge, to drive the next stage of growth for it in North America.
Debbas joins First Derivatives from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he led numerous data and technology transformation projects, helping clients strategize, plan, and implement new regulatory frameworks, trading platforms, and technology migration strategies.
