People Moves: Broadridge/Itiviti, Tora, DTCC, Maystreet & more

A look at some of the key "people moves" from this week, including Ray Tierney (pictured), who has been appointed president of Itiviti.

Ray Tierney

Broadridge taps ex-Bloomberg exec to head Itiviti following acquisition

Broadridge Financial Solutions has appointed Ray Tierney as president of Itiviti. Tierney will be responsible for the management and growth of Broadridge’s front-office OEMS and connectivity solutions. Broadridge completed its acquisition of Itiviti in March.

Tierney brings 35 years of capital markets experience to Broadridge. He most recently served as global chief executive officer of trading solutions at Bloomberg, where he led the design, development, and operations of the firm’s global multi-asset, buy- and sell-side order management system. His experience in capital markets and financial technology also includes time as chief executive officer and president of Bloomberg Tradebook, and 18 years at Morgan Stanley, overseeing distribution teams in the securities division and as global head of trading and execution in the investment management division.

Rob Mackay, chief executive officer of Itiviti since 2019, will assume a role as senior advisor.

“My primary focus for the next six months will be to stand Itiviti up within Broadridge. What that means is [it’ll be] business as usual for the next six months. That does not mean we won’t be working on practical integrations, whether that’s facilities management, vendor management, human resources, legal, and so on. And we integrate those and get the natural synergies that you’d expect from this kind of transaction,” Tierney tells WatersTechnology.

Ex-Barclays, UBS exec Amanda Jones lands full-time Maystreet role

Maystreet, a market data technology provider, has hired Amanda Jones as EVP of enterprise solutions. She will be responsible for assisting the vendor’s sales team in growing and developing enterprise deals with clients, and for providing stewardship of key client relationships.

Before that, she spent 12 years at Barclays Investment Bank, including as global head of market data management, business information services, supplier risk management, telecoms expense management, and broker expense management. Prior to joining Barclays in 2006, Jones spent 11 years at UBS, including as a director and business application manager, and senior business analyst for eCommerce.

At Maystreet, Jones reports to CEO Patrick Flannery.
