Annie Morris joins ACA Group as chief product officer
ACA Group, a governance, risk, and compliance advisor in financial services, announced that Annie Morris has joined the firm as chief product officer to lead ACA’s integrated product strategy.
Morris joins ACA from State Street, where she was senior vice president of product management. She previously led product management for Interactive Data’s (now Ice Data Services) evaluated pricing and reference data business and led Linedata’s North Americas business, overseeing front-to-back software services for hedge funds, asset managers, and fund administrators in the region.
Cboe hires Ron Boehm as head of America market data sales
Ron Boehm has joined Cboe Global Markets’ data and access solutions division as a director and head of Americas market data sales. Based in Chicago, he will lead Cboe’s sales efforts in the Americas region for Cboe’s full suite of market data and analytics offerings.
Prior to joining Cboe, Boehm was a sales director for connectivity and feeds at Ice Data Services, part of Intercontinental Exchange. Prior to that he held senior sales roles at Merrill DataSite, Perseus, SunGard, and Activ Financial Systems. He started his career in the open outcry pits at the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Macrobond appoints Klaus Holse as chair
Macrobond, a provider of macroeconomic and financial time-series solutions, has appointed Klaus Holse as a new chair to support further growth and expansion.
Holse is currently chair of open banking firm Tink AB, cloud CRM platform SuperOffice, vertical software company EG A/S, and payroll firm Zenegy. In addition, he is also vice chair of the supervisory board of Industriens Arbejdsgivere in Denmark and Dansk Industri (Confederation of Danish Industry). He was previously chief executive officer of SimCorp for eight years, corporate vice president at Microsoft for 11 years, and senior vice president at Oracle. At Microsoft, he was president of Western Europe, leading the largest area outside of the US.
Matt Wren joins Allspring Global Investments as CTO
Allspring Global Investments, a global asset management firm, has announced that Matt Wren has joined the organization as chief technology officer. Wren joins Allspring from BlackRock, where he most recently served as global head of investment technology. He will report to Joe Sullivan, Allspring’s chair and chief executive officer.
Prior to his new role at Allspring, he held various leadership positions across BlackRock, Barclays Global Investors, and Barclays Capital, spanning research, alpha generation, trading, investment operations, and risk management.
LPA expands Italian presence with new hire
LPA, a capital market technology and advisory firm, has hired Paolo de Vito as the new head of business development for Italy. In his role, de Vito will lead the opening of the Italian branch of LPA and be responsible for the business development, strategy, and growth of LPA’s activity in the region. He will be based in Italy.
He joins LPA from global fund data provider FE fundinfo, where he was the head of business development in Italy and responsible for business development for the entire product range in Italy and Ticino. He has also held roles at international information and technology providers such as Dow Jones, Bloomberg, and FIDA.
MDX Technology hires Nigel Someck as global vice president of sales
MDX Technology, a provider of trader collaboration solutions, continues the expansion of its leadership team by announcing the appointment of Nigel Someck as global vice president of sales.
He joins from Livingstone Technologies, where he was the commercial head of the managed services team. Before this, he spent over 12 years in business leadership roles at SunGard (now FIS) and Imagine Software.
InvestX expands leadership team
InvestX Capital, a private equity marketplace that allows broker-dealers to invest in pre-IPO companies, announced the expansion of its executive leadership team with the appointments of Jonathan A. Clark, as US president, and Dan Sanders, as executive vice president of private markets.
Clark will be responsible for managing InvestX’s go-to-market teams, leading efforts in client success and overall US operations. He brings over 30 years of experience spanning both the buy side and the sell side. He was most recently the chief executive officer and president of Luminex. He is also the former co-head of the equity trading desk of BlackRock’s Americas business.
Sanders is the former Americas head of execution services for Citi. He also served as the Americas head of business development for Liquidnet.
