FTSE Russell Hires Head of Sustainable Investment APAC
Helena Fung will join the global index and data provider, FTSE Russell, as their new head of sustainable investment, Asia Pacific (APAC). In this newly created role, FTSE Russell aims to strengthen their global sustainable investment team. Fung will be responsible for the firm’s sustainable investment indexes and data services across the APAC region.
As well as developing the firm’s ESG product strategy and expansion, Fung will also engage with clients on a range of products and data to help them reach investment decisions. Since 2008, Fung has worked as an expert in ESG and sustainable investment.
UK Government Investments Appoints CEO
Charles Donald has been appointed as CEO of UK Government Investments (UKGI). He will assume the role from interim CEO, Justin Manson, on March 12.
UKGI is the corporate finance and corporate governance arm of Her Majesty’s Treasury and independently managed with a board of independent non-executive directors.
Donald currently holds the role of director of the financial institutions group at UKGI, where he has been for the last two years. Prior to this, he was the vice chairman and head of UK advisory and corporate broking at Credit Suisse.
Clearwater Appoints Chief Client Officer
Clearwater Analytics, a global SaaS solution for automated investment data aggregation, reconciliation, accounting, and reporting, has hired Subi Sethi to lead their global operations team. Sethi will be responsible for global delivery, data reconciliation, client services and strategic account management teams.
Sethi has held previous roles at United Health Group’d Optum Global Solutions, where she led end-to-end operations for over five years. She also spent nine years at Genpact in a variety of leadership roles.
New COO Appointed at Cloud9
Jim Miller will be promoted to the role of chief operating officer at cloud-based communications provider, Cloud9 Technologies. Miller’s key responsibilities will include guiding product realization and rollout, business and marketing strategies across the firm, and aiding in the company’s efforts to facilitate the integration of voice data and activity into the trader workflow.
With over 30 years of experience in the fintech space, Cloud9 hopes to benefit from his extensive background in trading technologies. In 2018, Miller joined Cloud9 as head of product and development. Prior to joining the firm, he was co-founder and chief technology officer at InterNex Capital. He also co-founded trueEX where he was CTO for four years.
Miller holds a BSc in computer science from Virginia Tech. He also mentors college students on business skills and startup ideas at StreetWise Parters.
LDX Hires New COO
London Derivatives Exchange Group (LDX) has announced that Kiri Self will join the exchange as chief operating officer. Self’s role will include aiding the exchange’s growth strategy to operate new market infrastructure efficiently.
Self has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years and held senior roles in exchanges as well as Société Générale and KPMG. She has experience spanning the front, middle and back office, including large scale technology implementations and digital asset creation.
