Joanne Hannaford to join Credit Suisse in 2022
Credit Suisse Group has appointed Joanne Hannaford as chief technology & operations officer and a member of the executive board. Her appointment is effective January 1, 2022.
Hannaford joins from Goldman Sachs, where she held a number of senior roles across Goldman Sachs Engineering in London and New York, including co-head of enterprise platforms and global head of resiliency. She served as a member of the Goldman Sachs Engineering Executive Group.
She will be based in Zurich and report directly to chief executive officer Thomas Gottstein. James Walker, the current chief operating officer, will continue in his role until the end of the year.
On January 1, James will become the deputy chief executive officer of Credit Suisse Holdings USA.
Saxo Bank adds Mette Ingeman Pedersen as chief financial officer
Mette Ingeman Pedersen will be joining Saxo Bank as group chief financial officer and as a member of the management board and executive team. Following her appointment, Saxo Bank will divide the current role of chief financial and risk officer into two separate areas. Steen Blaafalk, chief financial and risk officer, will continue to have the overall responsibility for risk, capital, compliance, and credit, overseeing the second line of responsibility across the Saxo Bank Group as chief risk and compliance officer. Ingeman Pedersen will assume responsibility for group finance, treasury, and legal, governance, risk.
Most recently, she was chief financial officer in Nordea’s Nordic personal banking unit. Prior to joining Nordea, she worked as a Senior Manager in Deloitte leading the consultancy’s asset management services team. Previously, she held the position as head of finance in Danske Bank’s business banking unit.
Ingeman Pedersen will succeed Lars Kufall Beck who will join TopDanmark. She will report directly to chief executive officer Kim Fournais.
Broadridge adds Keir Gumbs as chief legal officer
Broadridge has appointed Keir Gumbs as chief legal officer. Gumbs will succeed Adam Amsterdam, who will be retiring after nearly 30 years of leading Broadridge’s legal functions. Amsterdam will step into a senior advisor role.
Gumbs will oversee the legal, compliance, and physical security teams for Broadridge, and will help lead Broadridge’s policy efforts by serving as the primary legal advisor for senior management and the board of directors. Additionally, he will join the Broadridge Foundation board, risk committee, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) committee.
Gumbs joins Broadridge from Uber Technologies, where he served as deputy corporate secretary and deputy general counsel, overseeing Uber’s corporate governance, securities, ESG, marketing, payments, M&A, and real estate teams.
Broadway Technology appoints Bruce Boytim as COO to expand executive team
Broadway Technology, a provider of front-office solutions, has added Bruce Boytim as chief operating officer. Boytim joins Broadway’s expanded executive team to optimize business development processes, drive strategic direction, and deliver seamless client experiences. He is responsible for accelerating global growth, driving day-to-day operations and ensuring Broadway’s technology offerings continue to exceed client requirements.
Prior to Broadway, he served as chief operating officer and chief security officer at Pico. He was previously vice president at the New York Stock Exchange, where he oversaw NYSE Technologies’ risk management and managed connectivity business and was involved in the launch of the Mahwah datacenter.
Nomad Data appoints Justin Manikas as vice president of partnerships
Nomad Data has announced Justin Manikas is joining the data discovery platform as vice president of partnerships.
Manikas was most recently senior director or alternative data products at Amadeus, a provider of technology solutions for the travel industry. Prior to Amadeus, Manikas was director, product management and an early product leader at Dataminr.
Wall Street Rides FAR adds Marc Wyatt and Jos Schmitt
Wall Street Rides FAR (For Autism Research), the annual charity cycling and walking event benefiting the Autism Science Foundation, has announced the appointments of Marc Wyatt, head of global trading at T. Rowe Price, and Jos Schmitt, president and chief executive officer of the NEO Exchange, to its board of directors.
As board members, Wyatt and Schmitt will play key roles in carrying out the event’s mission to support innovative autism research.
This year’s Wall Street Rides FAR is set to take place on Saturday, October 2 at the event’s flagship location at Saxon Woods Park in White Plains, New York and in other satellite locations globally.
