"We recently stood up a new state-of-the-art data center in Equinix HK1," Michael Rude, Redi's chief revenue officer, tells WatersTechnology. "This builds on our existing points of presence in New York, Chicago and London, and reinforces our cross-regional, resilient mesh of data centers globally."

The New York-based firm has also added client coverage, account management and infrastructure engineering staff in Hong Kong. Jason Yoon-Hendricks, Redi's head of client relations and operations APAC, heads up the firm's Hong Kong office.

Rude didn't provide specific numbers regarding staff additions, but did offer some insight into the potential the firm sees in the region.

"We have seen significant interest from our client base in increasing the amount of Asia trading they do through Redi, and as such have invested heavily in our Asia-Pacific business over the last 12 months," Rude says. "In addition to building out our new data center, we have added staff and expanded the suite tools, markets and broker counterparties available to clients trading in the region."
