The new version offers mobile apps for Apple iOS and Android devices, and a desktop app built on the OpenFin operating layer, to make it easier for users to manage research from wherever they are. In addition, users can now create a virtual library within the application, to organize and filter reports into customizable folders—for example, by watchlist or research provider. The vendor has also improved its email alert capabilities, allowing users to create email alerts from any search term or filter criteria, and using RSRCHX links that only allow access to those permissioned to view the research.

Separately, RSRCHXchange has hired Harold Bailey as managing director of North American sales, in response to “overwhelming” demand from the region. Bailey previously served as head of sales and director of sales at Acuris (formerly known as Mergermarket)-owned Xtract Research, prior to which he was director of sales at Mergermarket’s Debtwire business. He also worked at Lehman Brothers as an assistant vice president, and at RBS Greenwich Capital as an associate.
