Amundi Technology selects Causality Link for ESG insight

Causality Link, an AI-driven financial information technology provider, has announced that Amundi Technology, a provider of technology to the buy side, has selected Causality Link to provide insight into drivers of ESG investment performance.

With the Causality Link platform, Amundi aims to explore the potential ESG performance of companies, industries, and other KPIs of interest. Insights from the platform will augment Amundi’s current offerings to asset managers and institutional investors worldwide with a real-time picture of global markets derived from millions of documents processed by Causality Link’s platform.

Instinet to be first executing broker for Appital Bookbuilding platform

Appital, an equity capital marketplace, has announced that Instinet will be the first executing broker to work with the Appital Bookbuilding platform, scheduled for launch in Europe in 2022.

Appital aims to enable institutional investors to source pan-European liquidity, including in highly illiquid, small- and mid-cap stocks. The platform intends to unlock latent liquidity and drives a bookbuilding process providing deal originators with opportunities to execute large volumes, often in excess of five days of average daily volume. At the same time, deal participants set their own preferences to ensure they are only exposed and alerted to relevant liquidity.

Over the last few months, Appital and Instinet have collaborated to create a channel for new execution flow suited to buy-side firms seeking greater exposure to European deal flow and block trading opportunities.

Broadridge, Santander collaborate on proxy voting  

Broadridge Financial Solutions has announced the live availability of a new Spanish issuer “golden copy” event notification and vote execution service for the Spanish market. The service, delivered in collaboration with Santander Investment, intends to provide an automated solution with market-wide coverage.

The service aims to improve market error rates, expand voting windows, and facilitate vote confirmations. It aims to enable custody banks, brokers, and wealth managers operating in Spain to enhance their service offering to their underlying clients while reducing their operating costs. 

Deutsche Börse increases transparency for investors in ESG 

Deutsche Börse is expanding its sustainability data offering for investors.

In addition to existing company data, investors and market participants can now access information on individual sustainability aspects on the Börse Frankfurt website. Among other things, issuers can deposit ESG ratings, key figures, and sustainability reports. 

Dash launches Dash OMS

Ion Trading’s Dash Financial Technologies has launched Dash OMS, which is intended to augment its routing, analytics, connectivity, and post-trade products to give clients a new tool for options trading workflows.

Features of the Dash OMS include access to all Dash routing and algorithmic execution tools, support for all US listed-option products, integration with Dash’s BrokerPoint network, and access to post-trade tools.

SmartStream Air introduces automation and exceptions management in cloud

SmartStream Technologies, a financial transaction lifecycle management solutions provider, has announced SmartStream Air Version 6, its cloud-native AI data reconciliations solution now encompassing two new features: enhanced exceptions management capabilities and attribute-by-attribute matching.

The latest version aims to provide users with increased automation of exception management in the cloud. SmartStream Air’s AI capabilities manage discrepancies during the reconciliations process by creating exception cases.

IHS Markit partners with Metaco for a unified post-trade processing solution for assets

IHS Markit has partnered with Metaco, a provider of software and infrastructure to Tier 1 banks in digital assets. The partnership aims to deliver post-trade securities processing capabilities in digital assets for financial institutions.

IHS Markit’s post-trade securities processing platform is integrated with Metaco Harmonize, a digital asset orchestration system, to provide a single multi-asset platform for financial institutions to custody and manage digital assets alongside traditional assets. This platform intends to provide access for institutional clients to a solution for the trade, settlement, and corporate actions lifecycles.

Susquehanna joins TP Icap for digital assets

TP Icap, a markets infrastructure and data solutions provider, has added Susquehanna, to its Digital Assets Spot platform, due to launch this year. 

Susquehanna Digital Assets is a member of the Susquehanna International Group of Companies (Susquehanna), and is a quantitative trading firm. The addition of Susquehanna to the platform intends to provide further liquidity.

TP Icap’s new Digital Assets Platform, which remains subject to registration with the UK Financial Conduct Authority, is due to feature a wholesale electronic over-the-counter marketplace for spot crypto asset trading.

Clearstream launches primary market issuance API for Eurobonds

Deutsche Börse Group’s post-trade services provider Clearstream has launched its Primary Market Issuance API (PMI API). As of now, issuer agents and market participants can obtain International Securities Identification Numbers (Isin) and request acceptance of securities issued under programme in real-time. Additional features of the new API include allocation of the associated common code, Classifciation of Financial Instruments and Financial Instrument Short Name identifiers of the securities.

Origin Markets, a London-based fintech company focused on digital bond issuance, is the first platform that will make use of the new API interface. The PMI API leverages the recently released Clearstream API Service as well as the Airbrush messaging standard, launched by Origin Markets to facilitate interconnectivity between market participants.

Origin launches instant-Isin 2.0 with new Clearstream API

Origin has launched Instant-Isin 2.0, upgrading the instant code allocation feature that was initially released in June 2021. The feature now intends to offer both allocation and activation of Isins for Eurobond issuance, while also providing CFI (Corporate Finance Institute) and FISN (Financial Institute Short Name) codes automatically.

The instant-Isin feature is available to Origin Dealer Customers who draft termsheets for eligible issuers on Origin’s documentation platform. Upon request, the platform returns an Isin instantly, while simultaneously communicating the transaction terms and details to other infrastructure providers within the Eurobond market.

Numis chooses Torstone’s post-trade platform to meet CSDR obligations

UK investment bank Numis has extended its use of the Torstone Technologies’ cloud-based post-trade platform to manage its obligations under the Central Securities Depositories Regulation.

The Torstone Post-Trade platform is a multi-asset, multi-entity, cloud-based SaaS solution. The platform seeks to provide a flexible user experience for middle and back-office staff, increasing straight through processing.

Solactive delivers metaverse index with asset manager

In its first engagement with ETF issuer Fubon Asset Management, Solactive now releases its Solactive Metaverse Index, including publicly listed companies that could benefit from the adoption and usage of technologies expected to grow and support the functioning of the metaverse. Fubon Asset Management has now listed an ETF tracking the index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, raising $190,418,082 during the initial public offering phase.

With a growing demand in both virtual and augmented reality services, recent studies project the metaverse opportunity to reach at least $800 USD billion of market capitalization by 2024. The Fubon Metaverse ETF intends to enable investors to capture the performance potential of companies operating in the fields of Metaverse technology, platforms, devices, interchange standards, and data processing; including Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Acrisure broadens platform with Cyber Services division

Acrisure has announced the formation of Acrisure Cyber Services. It joins insurance, reinsurance, real estate services, and asset management as divisions in its global distribution network. Acrisure Cyber Services intends to deliver a solution for the full spectrum of cyber risk, from insurance to cybersecurity and data recovery.
