Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange pick IHS Markit for ESG
The Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange have partnered with IHS Markit to deliver its ESG reporting and data distribution platform, ESG Reporting Repository, to issuers listed on the exchanges. As part of the agreement, TSX and TSXV will recommend the use of the repository to some 2,300 public companies listed on the exchanges at no additional cost.
The collaboration aims to enable listed firms to streamline their ESG reporting and access peer and investor insights. The repository supports 17 voluntary and regulatory ESG schemas; provides users with the ability to upload and compare ESG data across all supported frameworks; and report ESG data to investors, bankers, and regulators, among other functionalities.
Ice Exchange invests in BondLink Series B round
Data, technology, and market infrastructure provider Intercontinental Exchange has invested in BondLink, a provider of cloud-based debt management software to governments financing infrastructure in the $4 trillion municipal bond market. The Series B investment is designed to accelerate BondLink’s growth and product development, including providing a variety of Ice’s datasets to municipalities as they prepare to issue bonds.
BondLink’s online network and issuer platform connects municipal issuers with bond investors, advisors and other essential market participants. The company hopes to enhance these resources with the Ice investment, allowing it to provide its users with data such as interest rate yield curves, secondary market trading data, changes in bond evaluations, and other analytics.
The transaction will not be material to ICE’s earnings or have an impact on capital allocation plans.
TickSmith integrates data store with Snowflake’s Data Cloud
TickSmith is providing the capacity for a white-labeled data store that is integrated into Snowflake’s Data Cloud, giving Snowflake Data vendors the capacity to customize the sales and delivery process of their own data.
TickSmith’s platform offers functionalities to data vendors and customers that automate data shopping. Its Enterprise Data Web Store has ETL, front-end store, and data distribution capabilities. The product provides back-end data infrastructure and a web portal that can be white-labeled, where customers can click to buy datasets.
The company’s head of product, Nicolas Doyen, says that the integration is intended to make it easier for Snowflake Data Marketplace vendors to customize their data offerings and standardize the data delivery process.
BNP Paribas Asset Management and CDP partner for biodiversity reporting
BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) and CDP have partnered to develop a common biodiversity corporate reporting metrics. With BNPP AM’s backing, CDP will start to develop a common reporting framework for the private sector.
CDP runs an environmental disclosure system. Through the partnership with the asset manager, it aims to establish a norm for reporting on biodiversity and enable the integration of biodiversity data into investment and policy decision-making.
The partnership aims to enable financial institutions to make biodiversity-conscious investment decisions based on reliable data.
IHS Markit partners with CloudAttribution for performance attribution
IHS Markit and CloudAttribution are to integrate their performance attribution capabilities into the thinkFolio investment management platform.
The partnership brings together thinkFolio’s multi-asset decision support suite and CloudAttribution’s cloud-native, performance attribution models and technology for fixed income and multi-asset portfolio management. The integration aims to enable mutual clients of thinkFolio and CloudAttribution to bring performance attribution to their desktops and to evaluate portfolio performance for a variety of cross-asset institutional investment strategies, including environmental, social, and governance.
The partnership follows on from the announcement in December where CloudAttribution is to also integrate risk analytics capabilities into thinkFolio. Mutual clients have the option of leveraging end-to-end analytical insights within thinkFolio, from portfolio construction and pre-trade risk analytics to post-trade performance attribution.
Transcend expands CCP solution suite
Transcend, a provider of inventory, funding and liquidity management, and optimization solutions, expands its suite with the launch of CCP Central.
CCP Central connects and automates margin and collateral management activities across a global network of central clearing counterparties (CCPs). CCP Central is intended to help firms address the risks and inefficiencies of manually growing CCP exposures.
The solution targets the challenges associated with manual and siloed CCP margin activity. The platform provides pre-built connections to CCPs to eliminate reliance on internal development resources to set up multiple complex operations.
