The WIG30short tracks stock prices in reverse proportion with the WIG30, allowing customers to evaluate short-selling investments, while WIG30lev is a leveraged index that doubles the returns of the WIG30. Both indicators are calculated using the exchange’s Indexator index calculation tool, officials say.

WSE distributes the index data via vendors, including Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters and the Polish Press Agency, using XDP (XML Data Package) files, as well as publishing the data on WSE’s website and also via value-added products distributed before and after each day’s trading session.

In addition to headline index values, WSE is distributing underlying constituent data composed of index ID, constituent ID, number of shares in the index, and the weightings of each constituent in the index, while vendors and customers of value-added products also have access to basic information, such as ISIN code, name, base date and value, as well as full historical data for the indexes.
